Hawaii Pacific University
Hawaii Pacific University is located in Honolulu in the southeast of the main island of Oahu. The Hawaiian archipelago is located about 4,000 km from the west coast of the United States.
The lifestyle in Hawaii is very relaxed, and you can often see both students and business people walking around in the traditional, floral Hawaiian shirts. On weekends, people go to the beach or parks and barbecue with family and friends, there are often historical or cultural festivals that draw the island's residents into the streets to party.
The island of Oahu has about one million inhabitants; about 400,000 live in the Honolulu. The population is a mixture of different cultures and the locals are known for being very hospitable. They are helpful and always interested in getting to know new people.
The climate in Hawaii is tropical / subtropical with wonderful weather all year round. Only small temperature differences distinguish summer and winter. The average temperature is around 25°C in spring and around 30°C in summer. Rain and strong wind are rare, but there is more rain on the northern side of the island - where the rainforest is located.
