Apply to the Emirates Academy

Students are encouraged to submit their application no later than 6 months before they want to start their studies at the Emirates Academy. If you are interested in studies at the Emirates Academy please contact KILROY education, the University's official representative in the Nordic countries. KILROY education will help you with all your questions, application form and practical information.

Application deadlines

You may begin your undergraduate studies and study abroad programme in January, April or September.

Closing dates for applications are as follows

• January intake:   By November 30th
• April intake:   By February 28th
• September intake:  By August 30th.

Apply to the Associate of Science in International Hospitality Operations & Bachelor of Science (Honours) in International Hospitality Management

The application process for the Associate of Science in International Hospitality Operations & Bachelor of Science (Honours) in International Hospitality Management is in two stages.  In the first stage, you have to submit your application to KILROY containing the following documents:

• Application form 
• Copies of graduation transcripts and high school diplomas 
• Test results of TOEFL or IELTS (A paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS overall band of 6.0)
• Evaluation / Reference form 
• Medical information form 
• Personal statement of motivation (300-500 words)
• Copies of any academic awards (if available)
• Copies of transcripts from any other relevant education (if available)
• Copies of employment certificates (if available)
• Scanned colored copy of your passport
• One colored passport JPEG photo
• Receipt for paid AED 500 application fee or completed credit card authorization form

Note: Your education documents will have to be attested. Please contact KILROY for more details. 

In the second stage, following the evaluation of the application, The Academy will contact you for an interview. Based on the application and the interview, a decision will be made and you will be notified within a week of the interview whether you have been accepted.

If you wish to transfer any of your university credits, please submit the detailed learning outcomes and syllabus of the courses from your university which you would like to transfer to The Academy along with an additional receipt for paid credit transfer fee of AED 500.

Study Abroad program

The application process for the Study Abroad program is in two stages.  In the first stage, you have to submit your application to KILROY containing the following documents: 

• The Study Abroad application form 
• Copies of latest university transcripts translated into English
• Evaluation / Reference form 
• Medical information form 
• Personal statement of motivation
• Curriculum Vitae
• Indication of hotel preference and job scope (if going on an internship)
• Copies of any academic awards (if available)
• Copies of transcripts from any other relevant education (if available)
• Copies of employment certificates (if available)
• Scanned colored copy of your passport
• One colored passport JPEG photo
• Receipt for paid USD 500 application fee or completed credit card authorization form

In the second stage, following the evaluation of the application, The Academy will contact you for an interview. Based on the application and the interview, a decision will be made and you will be notified within a week of the interview whether you have been accepted.

Master of Science (MSc) in International Hospitality Management

The application process for the Master of Science (MSc) in International Hospitality Management degree is in two stages.  In the first stage, you have to submit your application to KILROY containing the following documents: 

• Application form
• Curriculum Vitae
• Copies of attested Transcripts and Parchment (with official English translation if necessary)
• Proof of English proficiency (A paper-based TOEFL score of 600 or IELTS overall band of 7.0)
• Personal statement of motivation (300-500 words)
• Two Evaluation / Reference Forms: One should be from the applicant's current supervisor. The other might be from a person familiar with the applicant's work and with whom the applicant has worked.
• Letters from former teachers or professors are also eligible.
• Medical information form
• Scanned colored copy of your passport
• One colored JPEG passport photo 
• Copies of any academic awards (if available)
• Copies of employment certificates (if available)
• For part-time study, a letter of support from the employer stating how adequate time and resources for part time study will be assured
• Receipt for paid AED 500 application fee or completed credit card authorization form

Note: Graduates of recognized accredited academic institutions outside the United Arab Emirates should have completed degree programs representing a minimum of 15 years of schooling with at least 12 years at the primary and secondary level.  All education documents will have to be attested and the process will differ depending on whether you have completed your education within or outside the UAE.  Please contact KILROY for more details.
