In 2012 William Angliss Institute won the Service Skills Australia Excellence Award for Industry Collaboration. The Institute was recognised by the Food Service Association of Australia (FSAA) as the preferred training partner at the 2011 FSA EXPO. William Angliss Institute has seen numerous celebrity chefs grace its kitchens, including Karen Martini (chef, restaurateur, writer and TV presenter), and Shannon Bennett (author, chef and owner of Three Hat Restaurant, Vue de Monde), both of whom completed their training at the La Trobe Street campus in Melbourne. Alumni and respected restaurateurs return regularly to the Institute to work with apprentices.
William Angliss Institute's campus has three training restaurants: Angliss Restaurant, located at the La Trobe Street campus, was awarded Best Training Restaurant at the 2010 Restaurant & Catering Victoria Awards for Excellence (August 2010).
Total number of students: 19,500 students enrol at William Angliss Institute each year, comprising of local and international students on campus and industry-based students.
