RMIT University has three campus areas in and around Melbourne. The main campus being in the Central Business District (DBD) of Melbourne.

  • Bundoora (18 km from CBD, downtown Melbourne)
  • Brunswick (5 km from CBD, downtown Melbourne)

In addition, the RMIT has campuses for specialized educations

  • Point Cook - Airline Pilot programs (20 km from CBD)
  • RMIT Hamilton Nursing programs
  • An international campus in Vietnam (RMIT Vietnam)

Facilities

RMIT has modern laboratories that make the teaching more effective.The tools in the laboratories are advanced and help create an ideal environment for research students.

The University also offers sports and recreation opportunities with the aim to make a difference and to enhance the atmosphere of the RMIT community through team and individual sports, recreation activities and student clubs.

Transport

Melbourne has a well-developed transportation system consisting of buses, trains and trams. All RMIT campuses lie close to public transportation. The City campus is the closest to the main bus, train and tram lines. Melbourne is a well-structured city and it is easy to get around by car.

Housing

There are various options for accommodation in Melbourne. 

RMIT helps to organize

  • Student apartment complexes where students can live on campus, share apartments and live under safe conditions.
  • Homestay / full board, for those who want to live with a family and learn more about the Australian way of life and simultaneously improve their English.
  • Private student hostel accommodation, which are private hostels where students have private bedrooms and share bathroom, kitchen and living room with other students.
  • Share and rental accommodation, where several students share a house where they get their own bedroom but share kitchen, living room and bathroom.

Most European students prefer to find private accommodation with other students.
