Griffith University
With more than 750 courses and over 37,000 students, Griffith is one of Queensland's largest universities with 5 campuses. Griffith has more than 8,800 international students from more than 100 countries.
The Gold Coast campus is a vibrant and modern campus located in real 'bushland' surroundings. It is Griffith's largest campus with approximately 12,000 students.
The Nathan campus is located on 175 hectares of natural 'bush' area which has been declared a flora and fauna reserve right next to the Toohey forest by Nathan a 10-minute drive south-east from Brisbane city center.
The South Bank campus is located in the cultural heart of Brisbane and is easily accessible by public transport. South Bank was originally established for the World Expo in 1988.
The Logan campus opened in 1998 originally only admitting 530 students. The number of admitted students is today increased to more than 2,500.
The Mt. Gravatt campus began as a college for lecturers in February 1969 with 469 students. It has later become Queensland's largest supplier of registered primary school teachers with more than 4,000 students.
There are several bus routes between the various campuses the students can use. The Mt. Gravatt and Nathan campuses are located approximately a 15-minute drive from the inner city of Brisbane, while South Bank campus is only just a short walk away from the city centre.
The bus routes along the water front have regular services from Helensvale train station (southbound) and to Pacific Fair, Surfers Paradise and Southport train stations (northbound).
Griffith offers a wide range of housing opportunities at the Gold Coast, Nathan and Mt Gravatt campuses some options come with private kitchen, while others include food. If you want to live off campus, the university's accommodation service can assist you in finding a suitable accommodation such as a shared housing in a house or an apartment, or you can get your own apartment.
Most of the European students prefer to find a private accommodation together with other students.
